Absolutely not. We do not require that you sign up for anything or register. We only use the information that you send us about yourself when you have placed an order to let you know that we have received your order, processed your order, and to make sure you are happy with your order. We will only send you other information, if you request it or if you register for special promotions. We hate spam too!

More than likely we can get it for you, and get it for you at a better price!
I am interested in the Kenchii Charmer's. Can I change the stones in them to what I want or can I design my own shears? Can I do that?
Yes, You can change the stones in the CHARMER Collection and even add more stones if you wish. Yes, you can design your own shear to look however you wish. You can change the colors of the hand painted enameling, your cutting edge, diamonds to cubic zirconia or other semi precious gemstones, even choose the perfect length for you. Just remember, you must consult with us to design your own CHARMER or change stones, add stones, and choose your shear length. Your imagination is the only limit!
Are your shears knock-offs or the real brands you advertise because I see your prices are lower than other websites?
We are Authorized Distributors of all the shears, scissors, cases, holsters, EVERY Hair Cutting Item on our site and more. We maintain and add new products to our website ourselves. This cuts our overhead and allows us to offer special discounted prices on many of the products you see. We also take advantage of special deals from our wholesalers and pass the savings on to you!
Can you come out to my cosmetology school?
Yes, we would be happy to come! Thank you for the invitation. I have a paypal account but I can't remember my information and it won't let me check out! What to do?
You don't have to use your Paypal account to purchase from us. You may use your credit or debit card or electronic check through Google Checkout or we can take your order over the phone.
What is the warranty on the shears you carry?
All of the shears we carry have a Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty for manufacturer defects. We do not carry any hair cutting shears without that warranty, unlike some companies! We want our customers to be happy and pleased with their purchase!

How long will it take me to get my order? We ship within 2-3 business days (Monday through Friday Excluding Holidays). We provide shipping confirmation and tracking information with EVERY purchase. Items that are shipped from other companies may take a bit longer as we have no control over their shipping services. We are a Green company and do not send paper receipts with all orders, so if you would like one, please let us know. Some orders can take up to one to six weeks to ship, if they are currently out of stock, or have to be shipped from oversears, so please order ahead. These type orders are special orders and are not the norm.

My order hasn't arrived yet. What's going on? Shipping can take anywhere from 3 days to 30 depending on a number of factors. Your item may have been out of stock or there was a delay in shipping from the manufacturer. You may contact us with any questions you might have. This is unusual but does happen sometimes, especially with special orders that are being shipped to or from over seas.

My total changed when I went through checkout why? Shipping/Handling and Taxes (if in NC) are added at the end of your purchase. Shipping and Handling charges are $8.95 with the exception of smaller items. Because we maintain our on website and do not wish to raise prices, we have yet to figure out a way to charge shipping per item weight. So, if you purchase finger ring inserts, for example, and pay $8.95 for shipping and handling, we refund part of this, as we KNOW it doesn't costs that much for the packaging and the shipping. :)
The FREE items I recieved and I ordered are different. Why? Shears4Hair attempts to fulfill every order with the FREE Stuff as advertised but on occasion we have to substitute FREE items due to availability. These items are ALWAYS comparable in value and after all they are FREE. Customers are buying the shears, not the FREE items and though we attempt to offer as many choices to our customers as possible, we can only do so much. If the manufacture discontinues the FREE items, we have no control over that. We are happy that we can add these FREE items to your purchase as it is a great value for our customers and we hope we never have to change that but, if we see it becoming an issue that leaves customers unhappy, we will be forced to discontinue selling shears that come with FREE packages and we really don't want to do that!
Do you do shear sharpening? We don't do shear sharpening any longer. We will perform quick fixes such as bumper/silensor replacement and finger rest/tang replacements but due to time constraints we no longer perform shear sharpening. We do recommend these fine folks for your sharpening needs:

How do I change the blade in my Fromm, Jaguar or Edge-Ahead Razor, Jaguar Edge Razor, or my Fromm Premium Styling Razor?
How to Replace the Blades in Your Hair Cutting Razors:
Step 1: Place end of blade closest to the handle of the razor against ledge on the side of the replacement blade dispenser.
Step 2: Use ledge on dispenser to carefully push the blade toward the end of razor. The blade fits tightly into the razor, so some force may be necessary.

Step 3: Do not remove the replacement blade from dispenser. Align the end of the channel in the razor with the end of a replacement blade in the dispenser.

Step 4: Slide the razor to the far end of the dispenser, keeping razor parallel to the blade.

Step 5: Use the razor to lift the blade out of the dispenser. Dispose of used blade safely.

These instructions apply to Fromm Premium Styling Razor #108, Jaguar Edge Razor #JG300, Edge-Ahead Texture Razors #112R, #113R, #114R and #115R, and to replacement blades #109, #110TB, #JG301 and #JG302.
Always handle razors and replacement blades with care, as they are extremely sharp.

One of the most common complaints we get from Hair Stylist, Barbers and Professional Groomers, when out in the field is "My shears are loud" or "For some reason my blades are crossing each other!" Or we hear "I lost that thingy in my shears!". That "thingy" is called a bumper or a silencer and it is common for them to dissappear for no apparent reason and they are IMPOSSIBLE to find when lost for some strange reason. LOL!
These elusive "thingies" are bumpers, also referred to as silencers, and for good reason. The bumper or the silencer are those little things that go in between the finger handles of your scissors. They are VERY important to your hair cutting shears! They keep your shears from making that clicking sound, thus the name silencer. More importantly, the bumpers keep the shears' blades properly aligned so they open and close properly, and they do not overlap. If your shear's blades overlap they will not cut hair properly, in fact, they could be dangerous as the cutting edge is exposed. With the cutting edge on the outside you could cut yourself or even worse, your clients!
Bumpers/silencers come in various forms, one is a plastic black rubber piece and the other it a hard plastic piece. We have found that the hard plastic ones fall out more easily than the black rubber ones. If you have the hard plastic type and you loose it, no worries, any shear sharpener should have a black rubber one to replace it with. It is perfectly OK for them to use the black rubber kind. Some sharpeners even have different colored bumpers/silencers for your shears. They are also usually rubber. Most sharpeners will replace these at a nominal costs for you.
If you cannot find a sharpener who will rush to your aid, you can always try doing it yourself. ShearsforHair has black rubber bumpers that we sell at a very nominal costs, and are REALLY handy to have. Instructions for replacing your own bumpers come with your order and we will demonstrate the process on our website soon!
